Abduct

  • Movement of any extremity away from the midline of the body. This action is achieved by an abductor muscle
  • when one area of the body moves away from another part (such as one leg moving forward to meet the other).
  • kidnap: take away to an undisclosed location against their will and usually in order to extract a ransom; "The industrialist's son was kidnapped"
  • pull away from the body; "this muscle abducts"
  • To take away secretly by force; to carry away (a human being) wrongfully and usually by violence; to kidnap; To draw away, as a limb or other part, from its ordinary position
